About

WRN’s 115 properties are nestled against the base and side of Pine Mountain ridge in the western part of Cobb County, Georgia. The community’s homes are all sized at approximately 3,000 square feet of residential space and sit on lots of about ½-acre. Many homes also include basements.

Pine Mountain sits approximately four miles to the west of Kennesaw Mountain, the site of one of the last Civil War battles fought in the defense of Atlanta. Confederate Lieutenant General Leonidas Polk was killed on Pine Mountain while reconnoitering the advance of General Sherman’s forces from its ridge top.

The subdivision, first called Mountainside, was created in late 1987 by First Financial Corporation and C.W. Mathews Contracting Co. The construction of Traditional and Williamsburg-style homes began in 1990. JHM Builder’s, Inc. later became the principal builder and completed the development. The last homes were constructed at the end of 1996.
