Swimming Pool Usage Policies

Walker’s Ridge North Pool Rules – 2013

  • Contact Access Management Group if you need a key.
  • There is a $20.00 charge for replacement keys.

  • All homeowner members must be in good standing to use the swimming pool and tennis court.
  • The dates of operation are from May 18 to September 8.
  • Pool Operating Hours are 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. daily
  • All persons using the pool are on a “swim at your own risk” basis.
  • THE ENTRANCE GATE TO THE POOL MUST BE KEPT CLOSED AND LOCKED AT ALL TIMES—NO EXCEPTIONS! This is a Cobb County ordinance. The County Health inspector will shut down the pool if the gate is found propped open.
  • All members and their guests are expected to be respectful of the pool facilities and of other individuals — no exceptions. No physical or verbal abuse or threat of such will be tolerated.
  • No one shall violate pool rules or engage in behavior that is unsafe or destructive in nature. Report offenses of this nature to the WRN Board of Directors for appropriate disciplinary action as defined by the WRN HOA By-Laws and Schedule of Fines. Contact phone numbers will be posted near the pool phone.
  • If your child has an accident in the pool, please make an appropriate announcement to the pool patrons, evacuate the pool, place the “pool closed” notices on the gate/deck, and contact a pool club or Board Member immediately. The pool must be closed until treated. The failure to follow this instruction may be cause to have pool privileges temporarily suspended.
  • Any child under the age of 14 must be accompanied by an adult or a babysitter who is 16 years of age or older at the pool. Babysitters must have written consent from the child’s guardian.
  • Swimming apparel will be limited to commonly accepted standards. Cutoffs are not allowed. Children who are not potty-trained MUST wear an approved swim diaper – NO regular diapers can be worn in the pool per Cobb County Ordinance.
  • No glass, electrical appliances, or radios/CD players without headphones are allowed in the pool area.
  • No flaking or deteriorating products are allowed in the pool.
  • No smoking in the pool area.
  • Diving is not permitted anywhere in the pool.
  • No pets in the pool area per Cobb County Ordinance.
  • No running in the pool area.
  • Do not sit or hang on the divider rope at the pool.
  • Collapse the umbrellas before you leave the pool.
  • The pool may be closed without prior notice any time the pool contractor, an authorized WRN Pool Club member or a WRN Board member determines that the pool is not safe for swimming.
  • Only Nautix Staff can give swimming lessons at the WRN pool. Call 770-485-3672 for information.

Rules for private parties

  • Parties must be registered in advance with the WRN pool club. A copy of the Pool Party Reservation Request form must be filled out. You can obtain this form from a member of the club.
  • A $100 deposit will be required to ensure proper cleanup. This is refundable if the pool area is properly cleaned. The homeowner sponsor is responsible for cleanup.
  • Parties are limited to 2 hours and are subject to the normal 9 p.m closing time.
  • A maximum of 20 guests will be allowed for each party.
  • A minimum of 1 adult chaperone is required for every 5 children under 14 yrs. of age.
  • Any parties scheduled during non-lifeguard hours are strictly on a “swim at your own risk” basis.
  • Per our contract with Nautix Pools additional lifeguards may be required based on the size of the party. Contact the pool club for specific requirements.
  • The pool will remain open to all WRN members for regular swimming.
